An Enchantment of Raven by: Margaret Rogerson

This book was pretty amazing. I decided to listen to the audio book after hearing so many positive things about it. Honestly, I love the fact that it wasn't a series. I'd pretty much expected it to be one, and it was such a relief when I'd discovered that the author hadn't tried to drag it into a excruciatingly long trilogy, or even worse: a series. An Enchantment Of Ravens falls into the high fantasy genre. It follows Isobel, who lives in a world where there are Humans and Fair folks. The fair ones can all perform magical enchantments and are able to cover their true forms with glamour to make them inhumanly beautiful. They are all ruled by seasonal courts: Autumn, Summer, Spring and Winter. Isobel is a well known portrait artist and Fair  folks from all over the land come and pay for her portraits in enchantments. The trouble starts when the Autumn prince, Rook, comes to request her craft. Spotting signs of Human emotions in his eyes, Isobel carefully reflects t

The Upside of Unrequited by: Becky Albertali

I listened to the audio book for this one and I think it was quite fitting. Synoposis by Goodreads: "Seventeen-year-old Molly Peskin-Suso knows all about unrequited love—she’s lived through it twenty-six times. She crushes hard and crushes often, but always in secret. Because no matter how many times her twin sister, Cassie, tells her to woman up, Molly can’t stomach the idea of rejection. So she’s careful. Fat girls  always  have to be careful. Then a cute new girl enters Cassie’s orbit, and for the first time ever, Molly’s cynical twin is a lovesick mess. Meanwhile, Molly’s totally not dying of loneliness—except for the part where she is. Luckily, Cassie’s new girlfriend comes with a cute hipster-boy sidekick. Will is funny and flirtatious and just might be perfect crush material. Maybe more than crush material. And if Molly can win him over, she’ll get her first kiss  and  she’ll get her twin back.  There’s only one problem: Molly’s coworker Reid. He’s an awkward Tol

Anticipated 2018 releases!

Happy New Year! Hope everyone has had a fantastic start to 2018. So, since with a new year comes new books, I will be sharing my most anticipated releases coming out this year. It won't be in any particular order. War Strom by: Victoria Aveyard As you probably don't know, the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard is one of my favourites. War Storm, which is coming out in May, is the fourth and possibly the last book in the series. I am looking forward to read this book so much because I absolutely love the characters in it! Obsidio (The Illuminae Files) by: Amie Kaufman Obsidio is the third book of The Illuminae and its coming out in March. I really love this series because it has a very unique and interesting format of telling the story. I haven't read the second book yet but hopefully I will finish it before the third one comes out. On the come up by: Angie Thomas I have recently read The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and it was amazing. I am so exited to r

Heartless by: Marissa Meyer

This book crushed me. I only have myself to blame for it though, as I hadn't prepared myself for the ultimate ending I knew would come to be. For some reason, I hadn't expected to enjoy this book as much. Which is surprising, because the series: "The Lunar Chronicles" also by Marissa Meyer, is one of my favourite. There were some flaws. But I ended up still loving it. So much as to have persuaded me to read the original story that inspired this Prequel retelling: "Alice in Wonderland". Although I have seen the movie, I have never actually read the book. First of all, I would like to start off with the negative. The only main things with dragged this book down slightly was Cath's character at the beginning and the storyline. This story follows the well respected lady Catherine, has the interest of the King and is undoubtedly going to be asked for her hand in marriage. Cathrine is a simple girl, who wants nothing more than to start a bakery with h

The Graveyard Book inspired bookmark

I made this bookmark when I was in a Christmas mood so it looks quite wintery. I'd added my favourite quote from The Graveyard Book, which I had read recently.
